Covering four local Bay of Plenty areas,the gardens on show are the centrepiece of any festival. And, this year's Garden Trail is right up there with the best. We are most grateful to our gardeners for sharing with us the results of their inspired work during Festival week.
Admire the fruits of human creativity, fuelled by the Bay of Plenty's 2500 annual sunshine hours and rich volcanic soils. poiled by the Gods, we feel like we live in the Garden of Eden.

Discover more than 60 hand-picked private gardens, all in our coastal Bay of Plenty, each with their unique designs, settings and plants. The gardens are as varied, individual and full of personality as their creators.
From tiny to tremendous...
From the tiny urban oases to rambling country gardens; gardens created for pure pleasure and those that earn their keep. Interspersed amongst the gardens are displays of garden-art ranging from painting to sculptures, to some surprise performing-art pieces, and music.

Even more surprises along the way - brand new luxury cars on display, striking water features, a fossil and mineral collection, model boats, impressive outdoor fire places, and a straw bale houses.
And this is how it works...
The gardens are divided into 4 areas, with each area open for one day during the week, and all areas open from Friday to Sunday.
Area 1 Katikati, Omokoroa - open Monday 5th November 9.30am - 5pm
Area 2 Te Puna, Bethlehem,Tauriko, The Lakes - open Tuesday 6th November 9.30am - 5pm
Area 3 Mount Maunganui, Papamoa,Te Puke - open Wednesday 7th November 9.30am - 5pm
Area 4 Tauranga, Oropi, Pyes Pa, Ohauiti, Welcome Bay, Maungatapu - open Thursday 8th November 9.30am - 5pm
All gardens open from the Friday 9th and Saturday 10th 9.30am - 5pm and Sunday 11th 9.30 - 12.30
Your Garden Trail ticket comes with a map of the areas, and a comprehensive souvenir booklet describing all gardens and artists on display.
