Paula KNIGHT
The New Zealand natural environment is Paula’s biggest influence, painting seascapes, landscapes and plants. Luscious sculptural plants, oceans and landscapes are charged with rich vibrant colour and her canvases glow with layers of translucent acrylic paint.

Emma LOCKLEY
Emma has been painting for over 10 years and is inspired by nature, fabric and pattern among many other things. She loves colour, texture and the juxtaposition of flat and raised paint.

Rob McGREGOR
A full time artist, Rob creates paintings stimulated by personal experiences such as the environment, people and their leisure pursuits, places visited overseas or abstract works that rely on colour, balance, shapes and mood. He also paints individual pieces for people who want something specific to their lives.

Doreen McNEILL
Doreen doesn’t paint specific places but begins work with random colours and shapes allowing the paint to guide her. She enjoys the process of painting and tries not to lay down definite plans so that the outcome of the work can be a wonderful surprise – hopefully for others to enjoy as well.

Liz MONTGOMERY
Liz’s original hand sculpted pieces are created to bring humour and enjoyment to everyone’s home or garden. Her trademark figurines are buxom bathing beauties – chubby ladies in 60’s style bathing costumes. Other creations include pukekos, fish, animals and candle and out-door light holders.

Ross NEILSON
Vibrant colours of New Zealand’s nature and landscape in acrylic are a feature of Ross’s art. Returning to painting after a break he is an artist of 10 years wanting to share the excitement of art and bring walls to life.

Betty OAKES
Betty is a realist watercolour artist. Her subjects include flowers, cottages and farm machinery and she will also be exhibiting paintings from a recent art course in Italy with tutor Alvaro Castagnet.

Rex O'BRIEN
Through the study of nature and organic form Rex creates representational pieces to compliment gardens and homes or as lasting memorials to loved one. Rex is currently completing a Diploma in Art at BOP Polytechnic.

Gayna has been painting in acrylics for 8 years. Even as a child she was fascinated with the diverse shapes and vibrant colours of New Zealand’s natural environment and it is from this that she draws her inspiration.

Mary’s long experience with clay and her study is reflected in her work. Her focus is contemporary sculpture, suitable for garden and home, with a strong emphasis on colour and form. Her inspiration is mainly drawn from her natural surroundings.

Wendy PEDERSON
Wendy, of Ngati Maniapoto descent, creates both garden and domestic hand built clay or mixed media sculptures. She also paints, primarily in acrylic and her abstract paintings use strong lines and texture that incorporate both impasto and sgraffito techniques. With her potent, dramatic use of colour her work is bold, powerful and joyful.

Chris POINTON
Chris works mainly in macrocarpa and driftwood to produce stylised figurative bird and guardian forms, often with a Māori or Pacific influence. These works are made to provide garden focal points and enhance the New Zealand character of New Zealand gardens.

A regular festival artist since the first in 1997, this popular artist has exhibited widely throughout New Zealand and abroad. Her paintings are a blend of realism and abstraction, overlapping images, layers of collage, acrylic and sumptuous colour.
